1. Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan
Location: Saskatoon, SK
Date: July 4 – August 19, 2018
If you love theatre festivals in a fun, outdoor setting, make your way to Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan’s finest actors will be performing Shakespeare in tents on the riverbank, with offerings including the comedy Merry Wives of Windsor, and the tragedy Hamlet. New this season is a secret stage, where they’ll be performing Titus Andronicus with puppets.
2. Summerside Lobster Carnival
Location: Summerside, PEI
Date: July 12 – 14, 2018
The Summerside Lobster Carnival celebrates three Island passions: lobster, harness racing, and good entertainment. Bring your family and join the community as they gather to celebrate their fishing industry and the vital role it plays in the economy and way of life on Prince Edward Island.
3. Great International World Championship Bathtub Race
Location: Nanaimo, BC
Date: July 20-22, 2018
Since the inaugural race of 1967, Nanaimo has been home to the Great International World Championship Bathtub Race every summer. Watch the boats, crafted using a bathtub as an integral part of the design, race through the harbour, and enjoy all of the weekend’s festivities.
4. Collingwood Elvis Festival
Location: Collingwood, ON
Date: July 27-29
If you’re an Elvis fan, this festival is not to be missed! The annual Collingwood Elvis Festival celebrates all things The King with talented tribute artists competing to be crowned Grand Champion.
5. Celebration of Light
Location: Vancouver, BC
Date: July 28, August 1 & August 4, 2018
Honda Celebration of Light is the longest running offshore fireworks competition in the world, and truly a spectacular sight to see. Held at 10pm over several nights every summer in Vancouver, reserve a seat or get there early to spread a blanket on the beach, and prepare to be amazed.

The world’s largest and longest-running multicultural festival, Folklorama runs for two weeks each August in Winnipeg. Over 40 pavilions will be showcasing unique cultures in venues throughout Winnipeg, with lively entertainment, cultural displays, and authentic cuisine.
7. Summers End Folk Festival
Location: Grand Manan, NB
Date: August 17 & 18
On the small island of Grand Manan, New Brunswick, the Summers End Folk Festival celebrates the island’s arts community. Held over two days, enjoy a wide range of new and established performers in the beautiful setting of the Bay of Fundy.
8. The Canmore Highland Games
Location: Canmore, AB
Date: September 1 & 2, 2018
Celebrate Celtic culture in the beautiful mountain town of Canmore during their Highland Games. See highland dancing, piping and drumming, heavy sports, tug of war, sheep dogs, clan tents, Celtic vendors, Scotch tasting, traditional food and beverages, music and so much more.
